Akhal-Teke Endurance 

 Team Medeus returned to the very demanding course at Berzo Inferiore which was also hosting the Lombardy Under 21 Championships.

Not only was the course itself grueling but the day saw temperatures of 37 degrees with extremely high humidity.  Conditions could hardly have been more difficult.

Giancarlo Palini raced Miskhan in the 60km class in a training race for his CEI1* debut scheduled for the end of July.  Miskhan placed a superb second place with a heart rate of 42 notwithstanding the highly demanding conditions.  He is now ready for the challenges ahead.

Madjima was in the running for the 90km championship title with her 18-year-old rider Patricia Conti but after two excellent loops there was uncertainty about her metabolic state and the despite a low heart rate and perfect gaits she was eliminated.  She will return to 90km class after a suitable rest.

Making their endurance debut were also the fantastic young horses Seraf and Sfera who are full siblings and who placed 5th and 10th respectively.
