Damysus, 4-year-old stallion makes his cross-country debut.  His participation in the race was unsure to the last moment.  One week before Damysus had raced his first endurance race.  The endurance course was extremely rocky and Damysus was totally bare-foot.  As a result he was extremely tired for 5 days after with sore feet.

The decision to race him was taken and Damysus performed brilliantly even though his rider, Lorenzo Chieregati, estimated that he was only at 50%.  Despite this he raced the 3600m, 31 obstacle course in under 7 minutes, placing a superb 5th place beaten only by thoroughbreds.  Next year he will race to win.
